Packhorse is a trip planning app built by Benjamin Baumann. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we handle it. The short version: we collect only what's needed to make the app work, we don't sell your data, and we don't run ads or trackers.

Each of these services has their own privacy policy. We do not share your personal information with these services beyond what is necessary to provide the app's features.

Data storage and security

Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted by Supabase. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Authentication is handled via secure tokens. We do not store passwords — authentication is handled through email magic links or Apple Sign-In.

Data sharing

Your trip data is shared with other members of your travel groups — that's the core purpose of the app. Beyond that, we do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with anyone.

Data retention and deletion

Your data is retained as long as you have an active account. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. Upon deletion, your data will be permanently removed from our systems.

Children's privacy

Packhorse is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
